If all goes well, we’ll pick up our new-to-us motorcycles in Milan in about a week.
We’ll need a day or two to equip the bikes with luggage racks and crash bars before making our way down to Genoa where we’ll catch an 11hr boat to Porto Torres.
Once on the northwestern shores of Sardinia, Cagliari, our first long-term basecamp, will be some three hours south. The island is well known for its off-road trails so we’re very much looking forward to a month of exploration.
Sicily, Greece, Albania and Montenegro will come next. Reach the basecamp, settle in, explore the civilized then seek the roads less traveled. Rinse and repeat.
This should take us through the end of June or so.
We have multiple ideas for the second part of the year, but decided to leave it a bit more open to happenstance.
